GREENE COUNTY, Pa. -- A Greene County man faces homicide charges after allegedly killing his wife over dirty dishes.

Police said James Petrie, 27, of Richhill Township, shot his 17-year-old wife, Jessica, in the head with a .22-caliber rifle Thursday.

Officials said the two had been arguing.

Petrie told police he didn't think the weapon was loaded.

His wife died a short time later at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in West Virginia.

Petrie is being held in the Greene County Jail.
