Man Allegedly Shoots Wife Over Dirty Dishes
GREENE COUNTY, Pa. -- A Greene County man faces homicide charges after allegedly killing his wife over dirty dishes.
Police said James Petrie, 27, of Richhill Township, shot his 17-year-old wife, Jessica, in the head with a .22-caliber rifle Thursday.
Officials said the two had been arguing.
Petrie told police he didn't think the weapon was loaded.
His wife died a short time later at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in West Virginia.
Petrie is being held in the Greene County Jail.
