Artist Profile: Jean Jacques Bastarache Surrealist Artist - Surrealism and Post Modern Symbolism


Born Jean Jacques Bastarache in Montreal, Canada, Jean was raised in Michigan. As a leading artist in school, Jean started experimenting with various art mediums.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 1985, Jean has dedicated his life to Art. With a passion for Surrealism, Jean's work has expanded to CD Covers and his unique "Nature" Butterfly Series. His work has been featured in several magazines and he was asked to design the CD Cover for the Rapcore group P.O.D. with Atlantic Records.

Jean's work is generally described as surrealism, but is also referred to as post modern symbolism. His surrealist approach is responsible for his growing popularity in recent years.
