Talkr - listen to text-only blogs (if you can afford it)

What is Talkr?

Talkr allows you to listen to text-only blogs on your iPod.

Talkr podcasts the blogs you love, (and the ones you hate, too.)

Some are free.
For others, you need to subscribe.

Pretty interesting, the female computer voice isn't too annoying, but the pitch and cadence oddities makes it hard to follow at times. Talkr has an extremely limited selection (only 8 sites? C'mon...) of free content and the subscription service 10 hours of audio for $9.95 a month, and 25 hours of audio for $16.95 is way too expensive for my pocketbook. That said, I do think that this would be a great service for vision impaired/blind net surfers.

    Good afternoon,

Thanks for your post on Talkr. We have changed our pricing structure -- you can now listen to any three blogs for free. (and that's out of 8 million, rather than just out of the 8 free blogs that you mentioned.) Thanks for the feedback on pricing.

    Thanks,
    Chris
