From Iraq, with love - mansfieldnewsjournal.com

"MANSFIELD -- Each day for the past two weeks, Suzi Drushel received a red rose each day from her husband, delivered by Struhldreher Floral Company owner Jack Silcott, who announced, 'Delivery for Suzi' at her office door.

On Friday, Suzi got the surprise of her life."

R
emember that the men and women that are out there are our friends and neighbors, how you voted in the election won't change that fact. Supporting them as people is a great way to show you care for your fellow man, no matter what they are asked to do.

They are out there following orders. They are people we most likely grew up with.

No matter what happens politically, they are our countrymen. American troops need our support, even if you don't support the war in general.

Let's look at it in the following way: The men and women that are out there aren't just Americans. On a broader, personal level, they are our family and friends.

People we grew up with.

They are what you were once upon a time, if you served in the reserve in the 90's but didn't re-up and are too old to get called back.

A young couple across the street here in the Dallas area are putting their house up for rent because of the war. Their father is a chaplain and volunteered to go to Iraq. They are moving back to Argyle to be with the mother, to support her while he is gone.

Don't forget your family. If morals are a core issue in these times, just remember to support your community.
