Searchers Find Lost Boy in Utah Wilderness - New York Times
"Searchers today found a tired and hungry Brennan Hawkins, the 11-year-old boy who disappeared Friday from a Boy Scout camp in the Uinta Mountains in Utah, law-enforcement officials and his family members said.
'Brennan has been found,' said his uncle, Bob Hawkins, from a search command center in Kamas, Utah. 'He's in very good condition.'"
--
I'm glad the kid was found alive. Here's my favorite bit from the article:
The sheriff said Brennan gobbled down the granola bars and water volunteers carried with them, and then proceeded to play video games on one of the volunteers' cellphones as they awaited his parents and his ride to the hospital to be examined by doctors.
When I first heard of this ordeal, it made me think of the Stephen King book: The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon.
