'Grey' and 'gray' are both acceptable spellings of that word, the former used in the UK and latter here predominantly in America. I remember pwning my English teacher with that lil bit o' knowledge in high school. She marked it wrong on an essay of mine, and I had to bust out Webster's and The Fellowship of the Ring on her ass. :>
